A GLIMPSE OF HISTORY
At the heart of the estate is the 17th century mansion house, which was completely transformed in 2002 with the guidance of Historic Environment Scotland into the luxurious venue we see today. Golf is at the core of Archerfield estate, with two world-class courses designed by golf architect David J Russell.
In close proximity to Yellowcraigs beach, there are beautiful woodland walks and coastal paths to explore. Just a few hundred yards out to sea you can also see the tiny island of Fidra, home to the historic Fidra Lighthouse which was built in 1885. It is believed that Robert Louis Stevenson wrote Treasure Island after being inspired by the isle of Fidra while staying at Marine Villa in the 19th century.

FLETCHER’S COTTAGE SPA

VOYA Winter Revive Massage: using the VOYA Rituals range and blended seaweed-based oils, followed by a warming body gel enhanced with arnica and comfrey, your massage will be shaped to suit your needs, focusing on releasing areas of tension, and leaving muscles with a deep sense of release and relaxation.
VOYA Winter Revive Facial: depending on your skin type, this soothing treatment incorporates a combination of deep cleansing, soothing massage, and a hydrating mask to boost and revitalise tired winter skin, all with VOYA’s signature natural organic products.

Along with your treatment you can enjoy many other experiences at Fletcher’s Cottage. The marine steam room is a salt steam treatment, which helps the wellbeing of the body by alleviating respiratory and sinus problems as well as lethargy, leaving the skin hydrated and smooth.
We would highly recommend the lavender sauna – a sauna like no other – that uses organic lavender from Archerfield’s own garden which is dried and then used to fragrance the sauna. Spend time in here for reflection and contemplation, all while experiencing a lavender-scented detoxifying heat cleanse for your body and soul.
Featuring in the Top 10 of the European Spa Magazine UK Spa Garden Awards in 2022, Archerfield’s Walled Garden is a magical oasis with roses, wildflowers, sculptural grasses and organic herbs. It is truly idyllic; the perfect place to sit in the warmer months with a glass of fizz or a revitalising tisane.
