Da Walton
Mick, as he is known, brings generations of organic farming and the love of nature to VOYA. He is one of the founders of the organic movement in Ireland, and is responsible for the harvesting of all our seaweed for VOYA seaweed baths & spa. He ensures that only the best sea algae is selected at key times of the year. Mick’s pioneering methods of sustainable harvesting and limited environmental impact methods have been praised and adopted as a benchmark of good practices in Ireland.
Ma Walton
Margaret Walton has been involved from the very start of VOYA in many ways. Previously a key member of the team working in the spa, Margaret is now so busy running after grandchildren that she has no time to be elbow-deep in seaweed – bar, of course, relaxing in a bath of it herself from time to time.
Aoife Walton
Younger sister to the brothers Neil and Mark, Aoife had initially devoted all her time and energy to a career and life centred on horses and equestrian endeavours. Eventually the call of the wild sea and the pull of family ties proved too strong for Aoife, and she joined her brother in reopening the seaweed baths of Strandhill. Thankfully, Aoife’s accountancy background plays an important role in the daily running of VOYA seaweed baths.
Neil Walton
Neil, the founder of the seaweed baths, was the one who brought the Waltons together in business. His days as a tri-athlete led him to investigate the healing properties of seaweed baths and so began the development of the seaweed baths in Strandhill in 2000. Neil is involved in the daily running of the VOYA seaweed baths and maintaining the high standards that he started on day one.
Mark Walton
Mark’s inquisitive nature was the spark that created the VOYA range of products and therapies. His knowledge of seaweeds and algae has been crucial to the development of the world’s first range of seaweed-based organic cosmetics.
